WHAT IS SSL?SSL stands for “Secure Socket Layer” and there is an increasing amount of inventory available which requires all creative to be served using only “secure” calls. That is, every call the creative makes must be https (not http).
-
WHAT IMPACT WILL SSL REQUIREMENTS HAVE ON MY CAMPAIGN?If your creatives are not 100% secure, you will not be able to run on those sites which require SSL. Typically, this is higher quality content. Not having SSL compliant creative will not block your campaign from spending, you just won’t be able to serve on those sites which require it.
-
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE 100% SECURE CREATIVE (SSL APPROVED)?All calls made from within the ad tag must be made over https: -Loading images -Loading JavaScript -Flash loading additional content -Videos loading content -Tracking calls (impression, cookie mapping, retargeting, video events) Every network call made in order to load the different assets for the creative must be made over a secure https protocol. Any single non-secure call will result in SSL disapproval.

WHAT ARE TRACKING TAGS/PIXELS, AND HOW ARE THEY USED?"A tracking tag is a piece of code added to a website as a way to track that someone landed on a page. In some cases, tracking tags pass information on what actions a user took on a given page. Tracking tags are not seen by users. Tracking tags are also known as pixels, tracking pixels, retargeting pixels, and conversion pixels.
-
WHAT IS A WRAPPER?Creative wrappers are snippets of code that “wrap” around a creative when it's served. They can be used to serve third-party tracking pixels or other code that's useful to the agency or advertiser for tracking and reporting purposes.
-
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRACKING TAGS/PIXELS?Tracking tags are split into two categories: general retargeting tags and conversion tags. Retargeting tags are placed on high-volume pages for retargeting purposes, and conversion tags are placed to measure a user’s action(s) on a given page. Our primary DSP supports most standard types of tags, including image tags, iframe tags (container), and JavaScript tags (container). These tags can be used either to remarket to users or to measure conversions.
